An Electronic Invoice First
One of the widely-used third-party invoice processing organizations, eVelocity, advised a Versys client that for the first time in eVelocity's history, an electronic invoice went through procedural checking and was paid by the law firm's client on the first try. (Because of the variety of formats and unique rules associated with each creation of invoices in ASCII form, an electronic invoice approval is normally very time-consuming, involving multiple submissions.) As part of the Legal Insight law firm accounting software, Versys offers the ability to create electronic invoices in a variety of formats. The formats can either be delivered by Versys or can be defined by the firm with the provided tools. Formats delivered by Versys include L.E.D.E.S., Legalgard, General Motors, Travelers Property Casualty, Nationwide, and TyMetrix.
